WW - Rolex Hermetique "Submarine," circa 1924, manual wind, 32mm x 40mm to lug tips, 16mm wire lug width, original 18K yellow gold "submarine" case with screwed down bezel and articulating wire lugs, inner flip out case in base metal with hidden winding crown for extra dust resistance, black leather strap, excellently refinished white textured dial, 15J, case s#311177, triple signed. This model was Rolex's first foray into the world of building watches resistant to the elements; don't let this incredibly rare and important piece of Rolex history pass by.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, very light oxide to steelwork, light fine scratches on plates; nearly flawless refinished dial with very light surface spotting; excellent blued steel hands; polished case shows light wear, case back polished thin, several dings on back; crown shows very little wear, good threads; good crystals.
